Samsung Rolls Out 60 New Electronic Products; Eyes $4.9 Billion Sales In India
Samsung has rolled out 60 novel electronic items crosswise all sections in the Indian market with an objective of attaining a 40% growth in sales to $4.9 billion in India by the ned of the existing year (2011).
Besides, Korean consumer durables major also stated that it is amplifying its collection across all groups with special concentration on pushing products with more innovative technologies, including smart television sets, 3D TVs, Blu-ray players and its Galaxy Tabs.
Samsung West Asia Operations President and CEO Jung Soo Shin stated, "We expect a growth of 40 per cent in sales this year in India. This will be over $3.5 billion, which we did last year."
The plan for the region is to toughen supremacy while identifying novel chances.
The company launched approximately 35 fresh TV models, strengthening its 3D assortment.
In addition, Samsung also rolled out advanced edition of Galaxy Tab, which it is eyeing to launch during June 2011. It has also introduced a novel range of cameras, fridge and washing machine among others totaling to 60 novel items.
Samsung India Deputy Managing Director Ravinder Zutshi said, "Definitely our focus will be on these smart categories across all our product range. We want to leverage on the smart technology and drive our growth in future."
With more products being launched, Shin, who is also President and CEO of Samsung India, stated that the company will set up the best possible distribution network and extra stress on flagship products and client marketing actions.
While answering a question on the company's budget on marketing the novel range this year, Zutshi stated that each year Samsung India expends about 3-4% of the overall income on an assortment of marketing plans.
