Bollywood actress Gul Panag, who participated in the Delhi Marathon 2010, said that she was sexually harassed by some unknown participants at the Airtel Delhi Half Marathon 2010.

Some other celebrities including Bipasha Basu, Arshad Warsi, Rahul Bose, Urmila Matondkar and Dhanraj Pillai were also present at the event.

Gul said that the incident had not surprised her as she had already expected it to happen in the National capital.

The offenders molested her at the beginning of the race, but she was not discouraged and therefore continued her race.

Gul said, "Delhi is an unsafe place for women to live in crowded places and I just wonder when it's going to change, the typical north Indian male mentality."

She also said that she has never experienced such things in other marathons, and Mumbai is a safe city as compared to Delhi.

Talking about the incident, the actress blamed the culture of the capital, which hadn't changed over the years.

She did not register any formal complaint as she could not recognize the face of offender.
