Auto components sector to see infusion of $3 bn each yearAs per the claims made by the Indian auto component sector, it will be seeing an investment of $3 billion every year for next 10 years.

Most of this money will be used for the enhancement of the capacities and that in turn will reach to the sufficing of the increased demand in the industry. The information was given by the industry body, ACMA.

The body also said that it has been pressing the government for a very long time now and is asking them to providing safeguards against the cheap imports. These products come from China.

Talking to media, ACMA President Jayant Davar said "In this year, the industry is expected to add USD 2 billion in capacity enhancement. We hope that this will be USD 3 billion on an annualized basis from next year for the next one decade.”

The current annual growth rate of the sector is 20 per cent and the same momentum if expected to continue for some more time. In real terms, the total money is going to be $25 billion.

Most of the demand rise has happened in the two-wheeler and the passenger cars segment.
