Maruti Suzuki on a roll!
The Country's largest auto major, Maruti Suzuki may have faced the heat of the competition in the last month but the company is surely back on its feet. In fact, according to the sales figures released by the company for the month of July 2010, it has sold close to 1,00,857 units.
Moreover, the statement issued by the company also mentioned that it had sold 78,074 vehicles in the same month last year.
While the sales in the month of July was the best ever in the month by the company, it may be noted here that is the second time in this fiscal that the company's monthly sales figure has crossed one lakh mark.
The auto major had reported its highest ever monthly sales at 1,02,175 units in May, the first time when the company had crossed the one lakh units in monthly sales. Moreover, the National Capital-based company will be launching the K-Series Alto on the 4th August in the Indian market and is expecting to bank additional volumes from the same.
The bread and butter A2 segment (comprising Alto, WagonR, Estilo, Swift, A-Star and Ritz) witnessed 33.18 per cent growth at 64,079 units compared to 48,115 units in the last month.
