Volkswagen on a smooth drive
Since the point of time Volkswagen has entered into the Indian shores, the company has been doing things very differently from the obvious measures. In fact, the efforts of the company has also paid it off very well as it has been able to bank decent numbers from the domestic market.
It is to be mentioned here that the company sold close to 2,597 units in July in India. While when one compares the growth on a month on month basis, car-maker's Jetta achieved a 36 per cent growth and the Passat 67 per cent in July as compared to the year-ago period.
Moreover, the iconic Beetle continues to surprise the company even more as it has been able to 301 units for the period of January-July 2010 while the Touareg stood at 69 units for the same period.
The company also said in a statement that it will be launching the Vento in the last quarter of this year in the Indian market. It may be noted here that the company showcased the Polo based sedan recently in the Capital.
