British killer return to prison on charges of child pornography

prisonOfficials have said that a paroled convicted killer in Britain has been returned to prison on charges of child pornography.

The Sun has reported that Jon Venables was convicted in 1993, along with Robert Thompson, for the murder of 2-year-old James Bulger, when Thompson and Venables were 10 years old. They were sentenced to live in prison for the killing in Liverpool, but were released on parole in 2001, a decision that provoked controversy.

The newspaper further said that Venables is accused of downloading child pornography images between February 2009 and February 2010, and of distributing images in February of this year.

According to the reports of the Sun, he was returned to prison for parole violation in February but the charges could not be reported until now because of a judge's gag order. (With Inputs from Agencies)
