Cisco launches web platform in India
Cisco India has launched a web platform in India. The basic aim of such network is to enhance social work in the country. It will enable all NGOs and individuals to get in touch with each other.
Moreover, it will provide them the proper technical support to cooperate and improve their reach to socially backward segments.
As per sources, around 250 NGOs have joined hand with Cisco to develop such platform for a good cause. The name of the site is "myhumannetwork. com". It will be patterned on the lines of Google Earth. Cisco took six months to develop this application.
According to Cisco officials, this site will provide all the information related to the NGOs and their activities in various fields. One can search location for participation in number of activities like education, healthcare and animal welfare.
Over here ideas can be exchanged by the members of the organizations. This website was launched on the National Technology Day and the funding for the development and maintenance of this site will be taken care by Cisco only.
