Raveena Tandon To Make A Comeback With 'Agni - The Fire'
Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon is ready to make her comeback in the Hindi film industry with a woman-oriented movie named as 'Agni - The Fire'.
Directed by Rajeev Walia, the film also stars newbies Jeetendar Modi, Archana Gupta and Eva Grover.
Producer V. Kumar seemed pleased with Raveens's arrival, as he said the actress has returned with a more tempting personality that can do justice to her role.
Producer said, "The movie that we were making, we felt that compared to Raveena in her earlier films, now she has come back with a better personality. So we thought of casting her as she can do justice to the character she is playing in the film."
The official launch of the film that is set in the backdrop of rustic Rajasthan, happened in Mumbai on Monday.
Raveena is back to pursuing her acting profession after her marriage with film distributor, Anil Thadani, in the year 2004.
"The story of the film is set in rural Rajasthan. So I have been given the get-up according to that. Although the film is not like ''Godmother'', it is the story of a woman who raises her voice against orthodox traditions," Tandon said.
In the year 2002, Tandon bagged the National Award for Best Actress for her recital in ''Daman'' as a sufferer of marital violence in 2001. (With Inputs from Agencies)
