Upgrade the PS3, Retain other OS support at one go
An optimized solution that upgrades PS 3 to safety and at the same time helps in supporting other OS has been worked out.
It comes from the infamous iPhone hacker George Hotz who supposedly has found a solution to hack into Sony's PS3 gaming console. It is being claimed to be a customized version of the firmware which can be installed by restoring a PUP (PlayStation 3 Update) file.
Sony on the other hand promised to remove the Other OS support in PlayStation 3 gaming console and at the same time Hotz claimed of retaining Other OS support in PS 3 and upgrade the system to 3.21 version. And this firmware evades the fuss of opening up of PS 3 or making changes in the system hardware.
Users who want to retain OS support in PS3 need to wait as the date for the custom firmware has yet not been announced. However no news from Hotz has come up whether the hacked console might get banned from PlayStation network.
