For the first time ever, India will enjoy a music competition right in the IPL cricket stadiums.

Top singers Sukhwinder Singh and Kailash Kher as jury accompanied with rapper Hard Kaur as host and a band of 12 talented singer participants are now all set to rock the IPL cricket 2010 grounds.

The show will the singers competing against each other to grab the title of the IPL Rockstar 2010 in a reality show titled IPL Rockstar— Music Ka Tadka.

The show is hoped to make the Indian television viewers’ Indian Premiere League (IPL) experience even more memorable what with a jury panel flaunting Bollywood superstars and IPL franchise owners — Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and none other than Shilpa Shetty.

The actors are reported to judge the contestants for their stage presence and X-factor desired to emerge as a true rockstar.

Explaining the format of the show, Ashvini Yardi, Head Programming of Colors, said, “With IPL Rockstar, Indian audience will witness a blend of our nation’s biggest passions — cricket and music. “

The show is slated to telecast on Saturday and Sunday at 7 pm only on Colors.
