Rome - International midfielder Claudio Marchisio was to be operated on his right knee Saturday and is expected to be sidelined for about a month, the Juventus website reported.

Marchisio, 23, had to withdraw from Italy's two upcoming World Cup qualifiers in Ireland and Wednesday at home to Cyprus after complaining of a knee injury.
