Mona Wasu, 24, a television star, has won the title of 'Jungle Queen' at the grand finale of Sony TV's "Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao" reality show. She also revived a cash prize of Rs 1 crore.

"Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao" was the Indian version of the popular British reality show, “I am a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!”. In the show the 15 celebrity participants were forced live in jungle surviving on simple food earned everyday.

Mona Wasu defeated actor Chetan Hansraj in the race of the title. Pop singer Anida was the second runner-up on the show. These celebrities had to cross many hurdles to reach this stage.

The mental and physical stamina of the contestants was tested during the show as they had to face many hardships while staying in jungle along with difficult tasks involving creepy animals.

Mona said: “It was tough to maintain the mental and physical balance in the adverse situation of the jungle and I have surprised myself by winning.”
