Motorola launches Motodev kit to woo Android developers
Motorola Inc. has announced the launch of advanced Android development program through Motodev, which includes a new App Accelerator Program as well as Motodev Studio for Android Beta.
Motorola Inc. has taken this step to encourage developers as developers will get early access to a novel suit of Google Android developer tools plus programs via Motodev.
Chosen developers will also get an opportunity to contact directly Motorola's developer support engineers.
Motodev is also projected to step up the development of applications to be used on Motorola's upcoming handsets that use the Android operating system scheduled to ship later this year.
Motodev Studio for Android Beta will be made openly available by the company. Motodev Studio, which works with Google's software development kit, is a powerful, Eclipse- based integrated development environment.
Motorola's current move will also encourage developers to attend the Motodev Summit, which is going to take place on Oct. 6 in San Diego. Motodev Summit, for which registration opens on Aug. 12, will provide developers with advanced training.
