Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd has declared the financial results for the quarter & year ended March 31, 2009.

The private sector lender has registered a net profit of Rs 1025 million for the three month period ended March 31, 2009 as compared to Rs 692 million for the same period ended March 31, 2008.

Total Income during the quarter under review came up to Rs 9180.91 million from Rs 8030.21 million for the same quarter last year.

For the year ended March 31, 2009, the lender has recorded a net profit of Rs 2760 million, as against Rs 2939 million for the year ended March 31, 2008.

In addition, company’s total income during the year ended March 31, 2009 stood at Rs 34230 million as compared to Rs 29988 million for previous fiscal.

For the quarter under review, the group has clocked a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 2106 million as compared to Rs 2401 million for the same period least fiscal.

The Group has registered a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 6523.863 million for the fiscal ended March 31, 2009 as compared to Rs 9912 million for the year ended March 31, 2008.

Stock of Kotak Mahindra Bank marked its closure at Rs 484, after making handsome gain of 9.74% on National Stock Exchange (NSE). The total volume of shares traded on NSE was 5,434,468.
