Alstom Projects Q4 Net profit rises 16.46 times; recommends dividend @ 100%
New-Delhi headquartered Alstom Projects India Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 26.19 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2009, up 1646% as compared to Rs 1.50 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008.
In addition, its total Income has also increased by 57% to Rs 817.16 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2009, against Rs 520.40 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2008.
For the fiscal ended March 31, 2009, the firm has posted a net profit of Rs 138.11 crore as compared to Rs 76.51 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008.
Further, the company has also registered surge in its total Income from Rs1590.08 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 to Rs 2339.76 crore for the year ended March 31, 2009.
Apart from announcement of results, the board of directors at its meeting held on April. 29, 2009 has recommended dividend of 100% or Rs 10 per share for the fiscal year 2008-09.
ALSTOM Projects India Limited offers a range of products and services for power generation and transport sectors in India and internationally. The company operates through two segments, Power and Transport.
The company has strategic partnerships with BHEL and Infosys, as well as a joint venture with National Power Thermal Corporation Shares of the company closed up Rs 23, or 8%, at Rs 327. The total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 327,444 (Wednesday).
