In a major relief to these players, the Sindh High Court on Monday has allowed them to play in the domestic matches in Pakistan.

With this, the Court, has so far cleared the names of 17 players in total in the local tournaments.

Speaking on this with the media persons, the players' lawyer Zahid Fakhruddin said, “Imran Nazir, Imran Farhat, Humayun Farhat, Riaz Afridi, Arshad Khan and Taufiq Umar got their bans suspended by the court and are now free to play in domestic matches.”

These players now have joined the list of the other 11 Pakistani players who got a similar reprieve from the court last week.

Moreover, almost all of the first 11 players have already started playing for their respective teams in the domestic season.

However, other former Pakistani cricketers like Inzamam-ul-Haq, Saqlain Mushtaq, Mushtaq Ahmed and Azhar Mahmood have still not yet filed any challenge against the domestic ban.

February 25th has been fixed as the next date of hearing in the ICL case by the Court.

The 19 players from Pakistan featured in the ‘rebel league’ ICL, which is not recognized by the BCCI or the ICC.

It may be recalled that last board meeting between the ICL and ICC was deferred in Perth. A new date, i.e. Feb 21 has been reserved for a meeting between the ICL, ICC and BCCI has been arranged in Johannesburg.
