New Delhi: Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has announced the appointment of Anil Sachdev as the Director of Personnel and B Prasada Rao as industrial Systems & Products Director.

The company said in a statement, before these selections, Mr. Sachdev was watching out the Navratna engineering and manufacturing enterprise’s HR function as Executive Director, and Mr. Rao was directing the company’s Industry Business area as Executive Director.

During his stint at BHEL, Bhopal, Sachdev led major developments in the segments of traction systems. He played an important role in the assimilation of several technologies from TDK and Hitachi of Japan for DC traction and technologies from ABB (Switzerland) and Hollec (Holland) for AC traction machines.

As GM, Corporate Planning &Development, Mr. Rao successfully spearheaded two business plan exercises Strategic Plan 2007 and Strategic Plan 2012. He was in-charge of the project on positioning the company for Accelerated Growth and also chaired the execution of Pilot scheme for Organisational Transformation through Integrated Operational Improvement Programmes in Bhopal and Hyderabad Units of BHEL.
