One killed, eight wounded in attacks in Mosul and Kirkuk
Baghdad - A suicide attack on Monday left one person killed and seven injured including two policemen, in Mosul city, security sources told Deutsche Presse-Agentur dpa.
A suicide car bomber detonated his car near an Iraqi patrol in Mosul al-Jadida area, western Mosul, the source said. Mosul, capital city of Nineveh province, lies some 400 kilometres north of Baghdad.
Meanwhile, a policeman was injured when a bomb targeted his vehicle in downtown Kirkuk city, according to a local police sources.
A bomb targeted the police vehicle under al-Shuhadaa Bridge, near Kirkuk police department, the sources told Voices of Iraq news agency. (dpa)
