Bollywood directors to produce telefilms for TV channels
Channels are approaching famous Bollywood directors to direct serials for them. Channels are trying hard to present something new to the public to raise their TRPs. Bollywood filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar will be producing some women- centric short films for Sony Entertainment.
Sources revealed that these won’t be longer than an hour. There will be thrillers, stories based on real life, fiction, horror stories and more. Veteran actresses like Deepti Naval and Sarika will be approached for the series which will comprise of 12 episodes.
Madhur said: "The television wing of my company, Bhandarkar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., will be looked after completely by Raman and Ashok. They'll choose the directors to make these telefilms."
But Madhur denied his part in directing anything on television. He is quite busy with other projects for big screen. Madhur is planning to co-produce a big budget movie this year.
