In spite of a low-key release and mixed reviews, SRK-starrer ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ has been declared as one of 2008’s biggest box-office success.

Known as the Movie Masala Awards, which bases its honors entirely on the votes of the Aaj Tak viewers, have also announced Aditya Chopra as the best directorial return of the year, and Anushka Sharma as the best newcomer of 2008.

While commenting on her win, Anushka said, “It is honour enough to work with Aditya Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan and the entire Yash Raj Films team. To win any kind of recognition on top of that is just icing on the cake. I hope that my subsequent work will live up to the expectations that viewers have of me after this kind of a stellar launch that Yash Raj Films has given me.”

The 21-year-old Bangalore based elite model has also been appreciated for her stupendous performance in the ‘Rab Ne’ and SRK’s acting in this movie was splendid.

The movie has delivered straightforward yet an amazing love story. Aditya Chopra and Shahrukh Khan again gave a super hit film to Bollywood.

After this success, the production house is hoping RNBDJ has an equally successful run in the forthcoming awards season.
