No support in 32 bit operating system to run thard drive

No support in 32 bit operating system to run thard driveAs the space hungry people's demand is increasing day by day, capacity of Hard drive is also increasing. Days are gone when people were using 20 GB or 40 GB hard drive. It is the time to use 1 or 2 TB hard drive. A leading hard drive making company Seagate is going to introduce 3TB hard drive to market.

It is good news as well a bad news for tech savvy people. 3TB hard drive is not going to support 32 bit operating systems. People those who are using XP 32 bit operating system will not be able to use the 3TB technology. The main issue is with Logical Block Addressing Technology set by Microsoft and IBM in normal DOS standard.

LBA is a technology to allocate 512 bit of data. So if we calculate then we will see that LBA is only capable to allocated 2.1 TB of data. To move the giant 3TB hard drive "Long LBA technology" is needed which is available in operating systems running on vista 64 bit, advanced Linux, Windows 7 etc.
