No residue of Monarchy will be kept in Nepal, says Prachanda
KaKathmandu, Apr 21 : Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (CPN-M) chairman Prachanda on Monday said that ‘no residue of the monarchy would be held in reserve.’
Keeping aside the doubts about whether the monarchy will be completely abolished, he maintained that there was no dilemma in it.
The Maoist Chairman’s statement comes only two days after Maoist second-in command Baburam Bhattarai said that King Gyanendra would be allowed to live the life of a respectable citizen along with the opportunity to enjoy cultural rights after discussions.
The Maoist Chairman claimed to disseminate the message of peace and prosperity to the world by working collectively with all the parties.
Prachanda also said that a peaceful and prosperous Nepal is not possible wihhout the harmonisation of all the political parties, nepalnews. com reported. (ANI)
