NHS plan expected to create chaos

NHS plan expected to create chaos It is expected that the patients will be in the middle of chaos of call centers for just getting an appointment with their doctor under Coalition plans for the NHS. According to the views of the Government-funded think tank, close to £600million could be easily saved by axing support staff and creating a network of call centres but the fact of the matter is that the Foundation Trust Network review was branded a jobs-slashing exercise.

Jim Easton, Department of Health efficiency director is of a view that there is a need to employ simple and innovative initiatives to make sure that we make every penny of our protected health budget count.

However, Dave Prentis, general secretary of Unison has a contradictory view point as he says that the sharing of services may seem as a very quick relief measure but it will lead to creating chaos at the end of it.

In fact, Shadow Public Health Minister Diane Abbott added that in the coming times, the Coalition may realize that it is a very ill thought-out, unnecessary, top-down reorganization which has the potential to take NHS deep into chaos.
