NFL: Dallas 34, Seattle 9
IRVING, Texas, Nov. 27 -- Tony Romo tossed three touchdown passes and the defense recorded seven sacks Thursday in the Dallas Cowboys' 34-9 pounding of the Seattle Seahawks.
In all, Romo completed 22-of-34 passes for 331 yards and one interception.
He threw scoring passes to Martellus Bennett (16 yards) in the first quarter, Jason Witten (7 yards) in the second and Terrell Owens (19 yards) in the third.
Rookie Tashard Choice gained 57 yards on 11 carries when starting running back Marion Barber suffered a toe injury for the Cowboys (8-4), whose latest victory has them in control in the NFC wild card chase over Washington and Atlanta.
Also, linebacker DeMarcus Ware suffered a slightly sprained left knee.
Battered Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck completed 22-of-38 passes for 287 yards, no touchdowns and one interception.
Veteran placekicker Olindo Mare booted three field goals.
John Carlson gained 105 yards on six receptions for the Seahawks (2-10), whose losing streak grew to five games in a row. (UPI)
