New public feedback panel to come up
The Planning Commission in its efforts to be more accessible to the common man has decided that it will be soon launching a portal that will be used for getting the feedback on the planning process.
The process is expected to be implementing during the 12th Five Year Plan (2012-17). And if words of Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission are to be believed then this is going to be inclusive in nature.
He further added that the first phase of the interactive portal will be started by the end of October.
The question, however, asked by many an experts is that millions in India still do not have access to Internet and computers. This process, in this case will be totally dependent on the thinking pattern and the requirements of the middle class alone. In most cases, it will be the urban part and the rural side will be left like it has long been.
Meanwhile, as per the blueprint of the portal, an Approach Paper has been made during the 12th plan. Some key challenges have been outlined and plans and solutions for the same are being seeked.
The feedback has been sought on the Approach Paper to the 12th Plan, which outlines major targets, the key challenges in meeting them, and the broad approach that must be followed to achieve the stated objectives in the Five Year Plan.
