New BlackBerry smartphone launched by Bharti, Vodafone
On Tuesday, yet another BlackBerry smartphone was launched by the leading mobile operators Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Essar. The new phone has been priced at Rs
21,990. The users would be able to take advantage of easy typing and dialing via the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 smartphone, a set that also incorporates several enhancements into its sleek filp design.
Whereas, the well spaced keyboard lets the user type and dials easily, its external display helps in previewing calendar reminders, email, text messages and phone calls at a glance. Furthermore, it also has leading mobile messaging solution and a wide range of impressive Internet and multimedia capabilities.
Research in Motion (RIM) Vice-President (India) Frenny Bawa reported, "BlackBerry smartphones have been well-received in the Indian market and the launch of the BlackBerry Pearl Flip will help expand the appeal of the BlackBerry platform to an even wider range of customers."
Sanjay Gupta, Chief Marketing Officer, Mobile Services, Airtel informed, "The combination of RIM's powerful mobile email solution and rich multimedia capabilities, together with support for text messaging, picture messaging, enhanced web browsing and built-in Wi-Fi, makes the BlackBerry Pearl Flip ideal for balancing a busy lifestyle."
In a similar manner, Vodafone Essar Director (Marketing and New Business) Harit Nagpal informed that they had been bringing various BlackBerry smartphones to India as they had long been a partner of RIM.
He concluded, "The new smartphone is ideal for people who want a uniquely powerful and sophisticated clamshell handset, delivering the full capabilities of the BlackBerry solution as well as access to various mobile business and lifestyle applications."
