Natalie Portman set to act in “Love And Other Impossible Pursuits”
Washington, Oct 28 : Hollywood actress Natalie Portman is all set to act in “ Love and Other Impossible Pursuits”, a film adaptation of an Ayelet Waldman novel that will be directed by Don Roos.
The flick will feature Hollywood actor Scott Cohen and Charlie Tahan alongside Portman.
The flick is based on a young woman, played by Portman, who finds the key to recovering her marriage in her relationship with her precocious stepson.
The project is the first ever flick funded by Incentive Filmed Entertainment, the financing entity, which was unveiled by William Morris at the Cannes film fest.
David Molner, managing director of Screen Capital Intl. and chairman of Incentive Filmed Entertainment, revealed that the ‘Anywhere but Here’ actress retrieved the flick, which was imperiled, when Jennifer Lopez abruptly dropped out.
"We were left in the lurch by one actress and rescued by another,” Variety magazine quoted Molner as saying.
“It goes to show that, particularly with independent features, nothing is more important than the talent. It’s a blessing that Natalie loved the script and now we’ve got a strong film that we can sell at AFM,” he added. (ANI)
