Mums Are Better Drivers Than Dads: Study
According to a review of children, mothers are better drivers as compared to fathers.
The kids said that it is not just their car driving that makes moms best, but because they have better in-car entertainment.
Around 4 in 10 kids said that they feel securer with their mom behind the wheel during a rush-hour trip to the market or the school gate.
Fathers are seen as risk-takers by 7 in 10 kids who believe that they are more likely to speed, suffer from road anger and have the most mishaps with other means of transportation.
The Budget car hire firm, which polled 1,000 kids aged between 6 and 15, disclosed that most of kids prefer their mom driving as she plays good music (37%), joins in car games (26%) and tells funny stories (24%) more often than their father.
Keeping kids involved all through the trip goes hand-in-hand with them feeling secure, with kids preferring mother driving (40%) to father (26%) for this cause.
Around 68% of kids think that father is more likely to have a mishap as compared to mother. They also consider their fathers are more expected to speed (71%), be fined repeatedly (70%) and take the majority of threats (72%).
But whereas moms may be the drivers of preference, kids said that fathers are better at reversing (64%) and parking (61%).
