The most desired feature in iPhone 5: 4G / LTE

The most desired feature in iPhone 5: 4G / LTEWith Apple having already sent invitations to the press for its September 12-scheduled event, and there being speculations galore that the company will likely unveil its next-generation iPhone – supposedly the iPhone 5 – at the event, the feature that apparently is most desired in the new iPhone is probably the 4G / LTE capability.

Since there has virtually been an over-abundance of rumors, excitement, and speculation surrounding the much-anticipated iPhone 5 over the last few months, it has been widely reported that among the notable enhancements which the new iPhone will boast over the iPhone 4S will be its larger size; and a new, smaller dock connector.

A number of reports have been highlighting that the marginally bigger size of iPhone 5 will expand the handset’s screen to 4 inches; and that the dock connector on the forthcoming handset will be smaller than the one which is the current standard on Apple’s devices.

Moreover, with some rumors saying that iPhone 5 will boast ‘near field communications’ (NFC) capabilities and others denying the possibility, the one key feature which is apparently the most looked-forward-to in the new iPhone is the 4G / LTE advantage --- the most important improvement which iPhone 5 can boast over the 3G-capable iPhone 4S.

In fact, the expected 4G / LTE capability of iPhone 5 is probably the biggest concern for Verizon and Sprint customers, especially since the 3G speed on a GSM network is notably faster than the excruciatingly slow 3G offered by Verizon!
