As the withdrawal of the monsoon was expected in the span of few days, the financial capital of the country and several other part of the Maharashtra state saw a slew of thunderstorm activities on Monday evening.

While the two coincided with each other, an IMD official mentioned the fact that the withdrawal process of the southwest monsoon has already started in various parts of Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and also over the northern Arabian sea region.

It is expected that the similar thunderstorms will continue in the next few days to come in the other regions as well. It is to be mentioned here that IMD had earlier predicted that similar thunderstorms will continue in their state and the activities will be localized and passing off the Maharashtra's coast as well.

Moreover, the department also said that the system had withdrawn from some parts of the northern regions of the country, namely, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Haryana and it is expected that similar measures will be taken in regions like Delhi and several other parts of the country as well in the coming few days.
