Superstar Mithun Chakraborty has tied up with the Howrah Union Sports Club for Indian Cricket League (ICL) tournament. Mithun Chakraborty is the owner of the Royal Bengal Tigers and Howrah Union Sports Club is a major sports club in West Bengal.

Mithun Chakraborty is also a leading star of Bollywood as well as Bengali cinema. Howrah Union Sports Club is a leading football club formed before 86 years ago in Kolkata. The ICL team's website; www.theroyalbengaltigers.com was also released in the function.

Chakraborty said that the association will help in the spreading the game and support the regional talent in the state. Business head of ICL also expressed happiness over the collaboration will help them to overtake the most powerful cricket board in the world, BCCI. The owners have expected that iconic status of Mithun Chakraborty will promote both the organizations and its sportsmen in the region.

The Royal Bengal Tigers will start third session in October as per chairman of ICL, Kapil Dev. The team includes famous players Lance Klusener, and the coach being Proteas great Daryl Cullinan. The controversy has stared as BCCI is not intended to give any of its ground to ICL but the matches are expected to play in Eden Gardens as per past assurance of West Bangal sports minister.
