MindTree revises operating profit forecast for FY09Software firm MindTree Ltd expects improvement in its operating margin for the financial year 2009 and revised its earnings guidance forecasts. The company said, "Members of the investor community have drawn attention to this. We have taken a fresh look at our EBITDA guidance and updated our estimates."

The company revised interest tax depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) between $56 million and $57.4 million from earlier forecast of $51 million to $53 million. It said in a statement, "In view of the uncertainty in the external environment and other factors such as the joining of campus hires, we were extra cautious in the EBITDA guidance."

Now, it is hopeful to perform well due to some ease in liquidity and good financial management.

The company revised its full-year standalone net profit forecast to $12.8 million to $14.5 and revenue forecast from an earlier target of $228 million-$238 million to $223 million-$225 million. It expects increase in EBITDA at $68 million to $70.4 million.

Shares of MindTree were trading with 2.35 per cent rise at the Bombay Stock Exchange were close to Rs 207 during the morning session.
