Miliband discusses arrest of alleged terrorists with Pak Foreign MinisterIslamabad, Apr. 11: British Foreign Secretary David Miliband called Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi to discuss the arrest of eleven Pakistani-origin citizens in Britain and other issues such as the European Union-Pakistan Summit and the Friends of Democratic Pakistan meeting.

According to sources, Miliband asked Islamabad for more cooperation in order to stop alleged terrorists from travelling to Britain.

Qureshi, clarifying Pakistan’s stand on the issue said Islamabad was waiting for information from its High Commission in London, and once received, would come up with its position on the issue.

“Foreign Ministry is waiting for an official communication from London on the issue including the information about the identities of those arrested persons,” sources quoted Qureshi, as saying.

Qureshi added that Pakistan is willing to support and extend all help to Britain and other allies in the war against terrorism, The Nation reports . (ANI)
