Mercedes bash at Aurangabad
Running hard with a view to change the image of the Aurangabad region as one of the underdeveloped and backward regions, the industrialists along with lawyers, doctors and even media persons have come together to change the image once and for all.
The city is situated in the backward Marathwada region of Central Maharashtra and is better known as a tourist destination for the world famous Ajanta-Ellora caves and Daulatabad fort. However, the past years have seen companies like Skoda, Bajaj and Videocon entering the region and setting up their units.
Moreover, an informal Aurangabad Group has been formed which has recently ordered 115 units of Mercedes cars in a single day with the order standing at around Rs. 55 crore.
Till now, the region had only 15 Mercedes cars but now with the order of 115 units in a single day, it's surely raining Mercedes at Aurangabad. It may be noted here that the Group is being led by Rahul Dhoot of Videocon and Rishi Darda of Lokmat Media Group. The units of cars have been booked by a Pune based dealer at a negotiated price.
