While the market leader Maruti Suzuki is facing a lot of heat from the increasing competition in the Indian small car segment, the company is doing everything possible to protect its market share in the passenger car segment.

It is to be mentioned here that products like Beat, Figo, Polo has taken market share out of Maruti's territory but the company is planning to launch a slew of CNG models in the country in a bid to fight back for its market share.

It has been learned the company will launch five CNG models in the country on 12th of August wherein models like SX4, Eeco, WagonR, Estilo and one more is expected to sport CNG kits in the Indian market.

Moreover, the company has also firmed up its plans to launch an automatic A-Star in the Indian market by early next week as the Indian consumer has drawn a lot of attraction towards the automatic models in the past few months.

It is believed that the company will be able to bank additional sales volumes with the launch of the CNG models in the Indian market.
