Maoists all set to form next government in Nepal
Kathmandu, Apr 15: The Communist Party of Nepal-Maoists has won 116 seats out of the 209 results announced so far, and is very close to garnering simple majority in the Constituent Assembly polls of Nepal.
With 32 seats, the Nepali Congress (NC) is far behind at the second position followed by Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) with 28 seats.
The Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) has won 21 seats, while the Terai Madhes Loktantrik Party (TMLP) bagged 6 seats only.
The Nepal Sadbhavana Party (NSP) led by Rajendra Mahato and the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) have won two seats each.
A People's Front candidate and an Independent candidate have also won one seat each.
According to nepalnews. com, counting of votes in 30 constituencies is yet to be completed of which, re-polling will be held in certain polling centers of 21 constituencies. (ANI)
