Management Student ends in Mental Hospital after Ragging

Sanjay Pal Singh ended in mental hospital after ragging by few seniors. Sanjay recently got admission to MCA course at a private management institute in Lucknow.

As per the reports, Sanjay got admission at Sahara Arts and Management Academy. He was allegedly ragged by students from Lucknow University who were his seniors and were living in the same hostel.

Meanwhile, the hostel authorities have denied any case of ragging. The college had no hostel facility and the students were staying at private hostels. They have informed that Sanjay was living in a private hostel in Madia and was already suffering from mental disorder. The college authorities have declined to comment on the situation.

The 22 year old Sanjay was harassed to more than he could handle and lost his mental balance. The incident has again started the debate over strict laws against ragging. Ragging in any form is a punishable offence as per the orders of Supreme Court.

While most of the colleges and universities across India have banned ragging, it is still in practice at many places. Similar incidents have been reported in previous years as well. The college administration should take strict measures to stop ragging.

Sanjay has been under lot of pressure and the case has been marked as serious psychotic disorder. The doctors have informed that his condition is now stable. They could only control him after injecting sedatives.
