Malta’s Casumo announces acquisition of CasinoSecret

Casumo Services Limited, a Maltese online casino & sportsbook services provider, has announced the acquisition of online operator CasinoSecret that focuses on players’ iGaming experience.

CasinoSecret is one of the world’s fastest growing online operators with a distinct retention model with impressively unique market expertise. The acquisition of its business will complement the Maltese online casino and sportsbook provider’s fast-growing portfolio in the increasingly competitive iGaming space.

Owned by Casumo Holding Plc, and headquartered in Swieqi, Casumo Services Limited operates the gambling site Casumo.com. Both companies also have offices in Barcelona and Gibraltar.

Player experience-focused CasinoSecret, which operates under a license issued by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), also praised its merger with Casumo, saying the deal would enable its team to work with widely-acclaimed online casino & sportsbook services provider to further enhance iGaming experience for gaming enthusiasts.

Nadir Ounissi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for CasinoSecret, further said that their drive to deliver the best online casino experience to gaming enthusiasts through innovation and focus on local market aptly fit Casumo’s mission.

Commenting on the acquisition, Ounissi said, “Our ongoing drive to deliver the best online casino experience through innovation and high local relevance fits Casumo’s mission well. Together we now open new doors to shared expertise and exciting opportunities across the brands.”

Casumo said the acquisition of CasinoSecret would complement its already fast-growing portfolio. Commenting on the acquisition, Casumo’s Chief Executive Officer Shelly Suter-Hadad described the deal as an “ambitious and exciting collaboration,” and expressed hope that the merger would mark a clear next step on the way to growth from all perspectives. He explained that the acquisition would facilitate the company in further leveraging the synergies and shared goals of both businesses, while taking the group already massive portfolio to the next level in the highly-competitive iGaming market.

Suter-Hadad joined Casumo as chief executive officer in August 2019. Previously, he served Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Managing Director (MD) of Mansion.

The recent past was the period of acquisitions. A few weeks ago, the Maltese company’s subsidiary, Mill of Magic Limited, announced the signing of a long-term agreement with iGaming tech firm called Gaming Innovation Group Inc. That agreement entitled Mill of Magic to utilize Gaming Innovation Group’s products including its iGaming and sports betting platform and real-time rules engine called GiG Logic to power its innovative ‘Pay N Play’ casino offering.
