Mahindra Navistar plans distribution expansionThe Indian JV between the Indian conglomerate, Mahindra & Mahindra and the US based International Truck and Engine Corporation (the operating company for Navistar) has recently said that the company is working on a plant to expand its distribution network in the domestic circuit.

While the move comes with an aim to expand its footprint in the Indian market, the MD of the JV, Rakesh Kalra recently said that the company is working on its plan to launch its products in the medium and heavy commercial vehicle range.

In fact, Kalra also said that the company will also expand its distribution network going forward.

It is to be mentioned here that the company is planning to open another 100 dealerships in India that will focus only on the medium and heavy commercial vehicle segment. It may be noted here that the company has sold close to 11,000 units in the last year.

As far as the revenues are concerned for the CV maker, the figure stood at close to Rs. 600 crore for the last financial year. The company is targeting a figure of 60,000 units in the next five years.
