Mahindra Navistar gears up for futureMahindra Navistar Automotives Ltd, a part of the automotive division of the conglomerate, Mahindra & Mahindra has recently said that the company is all set to take on the competition in the commercial vehicle segment.

It is to be mentioned here that while the company has limited its presence in the light commercial vehicle segment so far, but it is surely geared up to make a mark for itself in the medium and heavy duty truck range as well in the coming times.

Rakesh Kalra, managing director of Mahindra Navistar, said as the company has garnered a decent market share in the light commercial vehicle segment, it is now set to make a lot of noise in the medium and heavy truck segments.

It is to be mentioned here that the company, i. e. Mahindra Navistar is a joint venture among the home-grown Mahindra & Mahindra and the US-based International Truck and Engine Corporation, which is the operating company for Navistar.

It may be noted here that the company sold close to 11,000 units in the last year but it is looking at a figure of nearly 50,000-60,000 in the coming four to five years.
