L&T pockets Rs 1,100 crore projects

L & T CompanyMumbai: Larsen & Toubro (L&T) formed Buildings & Factories Operating Company - part of its Construction Vertical - has announced that its buildings and factories arm has bagged orders worth Rs1,100 crore during the third quarter of the current fiscal.

In its filing to the BSE, the buildings and factories operating company, a part of L&T's construction division said that it has bagged orders aggregating around Rs1,100 crore in the third quarter of FY' 09 from its current development projects like mixed use developments at Chandigarh, Darley Road Tower in Sri Lanka, Airport Hotel at Bangalore and add on works at its airport projects.

L&T believes that these orders would further enhance the order book of the company which had secured major design-&-build orders in the airports, IT Parks and commercial space and L&T has a significant market share in these segments.
