L&T Bags $889M Overseas Contracts
Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T), the Mumbai-based multinational conglomerate company, is right on the money these days.
It has apparently bagged orders, accumulating a massive $889 million from Thailand and the UAE.
The first contract, which reads $189 million offered by Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd., is meant for the Habshan-Ruwais-Shuweihat gas pipeline project.
The wide ranging project spans out from EPC installation to commissioning of 23 KM of the pipeline to be scaled in 24 to 26 months.
L&T, the Company specializing in construction, technology, engineering and manufacturing, is currently executing various pipeline projects in GCC countries for high-profile international clients, including ADCO, Qatar Petroleum and PDO.
The second order compiled $450 million offered by ADMA-OPCO, a subsidiary of ADNOC and a leading oil and gas producer in the UAE.
The project will oversee an early production, Phase-1 of Nasr and Umm Lulu Field Development projects.
This is an EPCI contract bagged by L&T Hydrocarbon's Upstream Business Group. L&T has in-house engineering, manufacturing units in three locations, including the GCC region at Sohar (Oman) and its personal heavy-lift and pipe-laying vessel, LTS-3000.
The conglomerate has also received a $250 million project from PTTEP International Ltd., a subsidiary of PTT Public Co. Ltd., Thailand.
It is state-owned oil and gas giant and a Fortune Global 500 member.
