It has not happened with many movies in India. But Love Sex aur Dhoka (LSD) is going the DVD way. Interestingly, it is going this way just within 10 days of its theatrical release.

Moser Baer Entertainment is going to be the releaser and distributor of these DVDs.  The main idea behind this release is that the people involved with the film want it to reach every home and grab the huge market which is present in the home viewing segment.

Moser Baer believes that it is going to use the buzz that has been created by the movie. The company also expects that its DVDs would sell more since the company has got the first mover advantage.

Against the prevalent notion that only those movies which are not able to draw crowds to the theaters get DVD releases, LSD has been doing well on the box-office.

It takes at least a month for a movie to go for DVD release and so LSD DVD idea seems little odd. But then, it is a good way to fight piracy since a movie is available on CDs and DVDs within a short period of time after its official release.
