Notably, the owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett have appointed Barclays to find an appropriate buyer for the club in the coming months. The 18 time English Premier League champion and five times European Premier League champion is all set to see a next wave of growth after facing tough times for the past many months now.

According to the statement released by the company, "Having seen different interest from the third parties, the club has now engaged Barclays Capital to advise on the sale process."

Moreover, the statement further added that the club has full support from its bankers and it has already set aside financing for the same to facilitate the deal. Notably, Tom Hicks and George Gillett have been the owners of the team for the past three years and they labelled their journey as exciting and rewarding with the club.

Even the Chairman mentioned the fact that it is one of the greatest clubs in the history on English Football and he is very fortunate to be associated with this soccer club.
