Life in Cosmos: Hunt is on
Scientists have been putting efforts is search for existence of life in other parts of the universe. Nobody knows what will they achieve but the situation is similar to a glass half empty/half full.
On one hand, human beings can’t seem to deal well within their immediate families, if we consider different towns, cities, cultures, continents, and politics and religion to add on. The world is full of diversity, which generally results into violence, riots, inequality, racism, riots, and wars.
Aliens could also have their own societal issues just like humans. If we get to a chance to come in touch with intelligent life forms, it would just increase diversity, aggravating the situation.
Contrary to this, there could be a chance that intelligent and benevolent life-forms can help humans solve out their issues. Supposing they were advanced and could contact earth, the possibilities will be unlimited.
First of all, the inhabitants of Earth might know how to reverse, or at least halt climate change; generate clean energy; put a full stop on disease; eradicate famine, war, and inequality. However, suppose, the beings were intelligent but not kind enough and attack our civilization, people across the Earth would possibly come together jointly defending a single unit: citizens of Earth.
Speculation on such scenarios is quite interesting. Meanwhile, the search for ETs is on; in fact, it has been perfected.
Two astrophysicists have come up with a way to ensure that humans don’t miss the signal if extraterrestrial observers attempt to come in touch with us.
According to René Heller and Ralph Pudritz, the best opportunity of finding a signal from beyond is to assume that extraterrestrial observers have been adapting same methods while hunting for us that have been in use by us in search for life beyond Earth.
