Legalization of marijuana in California making Miley Cyrus' day
Washington D.C. [USA], Nov. 10 : Looks like Miley Cyrus, who was crying after Donald Trump's election win, can feel better about the outcome once she starts smoking.
According to Hollywood Reporter, a source close to the 23-year-old singer revealed that the one thing that is " making her day" a little better is the fact that Marijuana is legal in California.
The state recently cleared ' Proposition 64' allowing people 21 years and older to legally possess up to an ounce of weed (approximately 28 grams) and grow six marijuana plants at home.
"She is all about it and is very excited that California is progressive and making things a little easier for her and other people that want to enjoy the benefits of marijuana," the source told the magazine.
Following the US election results, the 'Wrecking Ball' hit maker earlier posted a lengthy emotional video online, saying, "I've been very vocal for my support for everyone besides Donald Trump - heavily supported Bernie [Sanders], heavily supported Hillary, and I still think that, in her lifetime, she deserves to be the first female president, and that's what makes me so sad."
"Hopefully we adjust and we accept everyone for who they are, and, so, Donald Trump, I accept you. This hurts to say, but I even accept you as President of the United States, and that's fine, because, now, I want to be a hopeful hippie. I want to be hopeful that you will step in, too.treat people with love, treat people with compassion, and I will do the same for you," she added.
The 'The Climb' singer is not the only celebrity reveling in this.
Californian stars including Snoop Dogg also celebrated the clearing of the proposition, which legalizes the recreational use of marijuana. The 45-year old rapper and actor, who has long been a fan of the drug, now plans to 'smoke weed every day.'
Two decades ago, California was the first state to approve medical marijuana.(ANI)
