At least four killed in Mosul attacks
Mosul - At least four people were killed and six injured in two attacks in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul on Thursday, police there told the German Press Agency dpa.
Three policemen were killed and five were injured by a roadside bomb as they patrolled western Mosul, police said.
In an apparently unrelated incident, armed men fatally shot one civilian man and injured a second before fleeing the scene.
Mosul and its environs are among the most ethnically diverse regions of Iraq, and among the most dangerous.
Despite successive security pushes that police say have netted hundreds of suspected insurgents, armed men continue to launch near- daily attacks in the area. (dpa)
