The leader deserves the trophy
Kevin Pietersen was adjudged Player of Tournament in the Twenty 20 World Cup at West Indies for his brilliant performance through out the event. But he has said that the leader deserves the trophy. Paul Collingwood had been fantastic in the tournament as a skipper of the English cricket team and he had led from the front.
So, as per Pietersen, he is the main character behind this victory. He has also said that for Bangalore Royal Challengers in the IPL had helped him a lot to find his form and confidence back. Petersen had also revealed in London that, last 12 months including winter was truly disappointing for him. In IPL he had a good practice.
Those long hours of practice had paid the dividend in the T20 World Cup. On the Player of Tournament, he has said that he was felling humbled to receive the award but without the entire team this could not be possible. The entire team had backed him during his injury as well. He had scored 248 runs in the competition and had played an important part in the final against Australia as well. He has also said there is no other better feeling than contributing for the team.
