Twitter has released its latest version for its Blackberry users.

RIM has publicised the release of its native BlackBerry Twitter app. This is an instant release which dates back to few weeks when the users saw the first beta version. Earlier version however, was less in features than competing third party apps.

Loyalists of Twitter weren't particularly impressed with the older version because of the lack of features like Twitter trends and lists.

However, Twitter for BlackBerry preview software was able to upload photos and support retweets, but that version was limited to that only.

The current beta version has enlisted a few handy features that include adding notifications for new tweets and replies to the home screen. On top of this, users will also get a ping notification when they receive a direct message. A feature to create, view and edit Twitter lists has also been added. Updation too seems an easy task as one can do it right from within the app.

The app which is ready for download can be made handy from the Test Center in the Blackberry App World.
