Lashkar-e-Taiba Activist Shot Dead In Rajouri District

A Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) activist was shot dead in a gun fight with military forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri area.

The so-called militant commander was identified as Abu Asrar also called Gaffari.

Superintendent of Police, T R Katoch, Rajouri District, stated that an investigation was on to nab two confederates of the slain militant.

Mr. Katoch said, “It was a group of three militants. One has been eliminated, while a search is on for others. In this encounter, there had been Special Operation Group party and an army of 60 Rashtriya Rifles personnel.”

One AK-47, three magazines, 90 rounds and one grenade were recovered from Gaffari’s possession.
